Compact, contact-protected enclosed conductor system for standard cranes
Crane systems are a critical part of many production processes, only with reliable lifting and movement of heavy loads can uptime be maintained. A robust and dependable power supply is therefore essential.
The VAHLE KBH enclosed conductor system is a contact-protected solution developed for standard cranes in the low to mid power range. The conductors are integrated into a lightweight yet stable hollow-chamber plastic profile, while the current collectors run inside the housing on ball bearings, helping to compensate for tolerances along the runway and ensuring stable current collection.
KBH has been a proven market standard for many years and is available in 4- or 5-pole versions with different conductor cross-sections. This enables rated currents of up to 200 A. The system is suitable for indoor and outdoor installations and can be equipped with an optional heating wire to reduce the risk of frost on the contact bars.
For installation and maintenance, KBH is designed for efficiency: clip-based suspension technology, connection caps, connectors and feeders support fast installation and straightforward service and repairs, contributing to high system availability. The VAHLE APOS magnetic positioning system can also be fully integrated into the KBH housing.
This product group is UL certified, meeting high requirements for safety and quality—well suited for demanding applications, including in sensitive industries.
